Need Your Support

Actually I though I would never have to post something like this. That shows how wrong I was, huh...(?) Had to put my spouse in the hospital yesterday. She has had increasing right-sided flank pain for the past week. Many tests run both yesterday & today. Full results from today's tests not in yet. I probably shouldn't be so worried, but several years ago she had four colon resections in one year due to diverticulitis. Those surgeries hence caused obvious muscle weakness and she has had three hernia repair surgeries since that time. All I know at this time is that cancer has been ruled out. Thank You so much, my friends, and may God bless all. --Joe--

Adjudicator, I hope they can find the source of the problem and make her feel better right soon. Don't let up on the Doctors. Make them do every test they can. Don't let them get away with pain of unknown origin, or anything like that. I swear, the poor doctors have their hands tied half the time because of HMO's, etc, which keep them from doing the job they wish to do.

Adjudicator- you have my prayers and hopes for the best for your wife! Not that we don't love our wives from day to day, but it is at times like these that we realize just how much they mean to us, and just how much they impact (In a good way!) our lives on a daily basis! My wife had several surgeries last year, and has an appointment with a surgeon next month to discuss another surgery. While none are for any life-threatening problems, I still am aware of the complications that can arise during any surgery, and it is in those times that I realize that there are many, many things in life that I can do without, and that my wonderful wife is definitely NOT one of those things!! Don't feel that you should not worry so much- while your wife's medical problems may not warrant such worry- your love for her definitely does warrant such worry! Hang in there, and God bless you and your wife!

Mystery solved !!! Flow test results made available today. My spouse will have a cholecystectomy, probably Monday. Thank God that that is all it was / is! What threw everyone concerned off was that my spouse had these SAME tests done less that six months ago and everything was OK. My wife means the world to me. My world would collapse without her, and I would probably cease to exist as a person without her by my side. I would like to thank all that responded both to this thread and in personal E-Mails to me. I KNOW where many of my TRUE friends are, now. ===>>> Right HERE!

Great news! She will feel so much better. I do hope they do it laparoscopically, you heal so much faster. I know she's ready to come home. Hospitals are no fun. Sending out healing vibes!

Adjudicator, I am so happy that the professionals are taking care of your wife. You are so sweet to be concerned for her. When you originally said "flank pain" it made me think of the kidney stone procedure I recently went through. My husband wasn't nearly as concerned or attentive. As a matter of fact when the nurse noticed his cell phone during the admitting process she said she could just call him at the procedure was over (it was out-patient.) He leaned over, kissed me on my cheek, wished me good luck and left cartoon dust (think RoadRunner)through the exit door. Ahhhh. It is wonderful to see that romance & caring is still alive and well.
