Do anyone remember this cereal Nerds? If so, do you know who made them? If so let me know. I know that they came out in the late 80's. Please help me find this cereal again. I want my kids to know about them.

No. It was made like the candy only it was cereal. One side of the box had strawberry and the other side had grape cereal.

Ralston began making Nerds cereal in 1985. Two flavors that were seperated down the middle in a box, like orange and cherry, strawberry and grape. Definitely nerdy. - scott

          Peace,

I do not know if you really have to have extremly processed sugar to feed to your children in the morning or perhaps you want just the nostalgia. I suggest that you go to Google and type in Nerds cereal. You will find plenty of sites.

I do recall it, but not who made it. After you find out let me know where I can get some Ivory hair shampoo, I miss that stuff. I don't like all this "fru-fru" junk they offer now a day. I ordered in 25 bars of pine tar soap, good stuff. They should make deodorant that smells like leather and air freshner that smells of bbq. This could be a whole new thread.

Wonka made Nerds cereal. It was delicious! I wish that they still made it. All of the websites say that they were awful and they have some horrible reviews, but I thought the idea was great and that they were great!

I know this is an old thread, but this was a funny thing to read:

"PEDIATRICS Vol. 81 No. 2 February 1988, pp. 326 This Article

                  Nerds Cereal and Red Stools
MARGARET E. GUTGESELL MD, MPH1 and JANET DOUGHERTY III SMD1

1 Department of Pediatrics, Children's Medical Center, University of Virginia, Charlottesville, VA 22908

                  To the Editor.—

Bright red stools are an alarming sign at any age. In a previously well child, such stool can produce marked anxiety in both patient and parent. We are writing to report a case of such stools following the ingestion of the cereal "Nerds."

A 5-year-old boy was brought to the pediatric night clinic at the Children's Medical Center of the University of Virginia, with the chief complaint of blood in stool. About one hour prior to arrival in the clinic, he passed a bright red-orange stool."

Never had that happen to me..

I remember that stuff. It was nasty but as a kid I was sold on the gimick of it.
