Anyone from Detroit or who has ordered these American Coney Island kits know if the Dearborn dogs they sell are good. They have gotta be I guess? They have been selling them since 1917. They will even let you sell them. The math kinda confused me. Hmm, would they sell in north Texas? The web site is; www.americanconeyisland.com Oh, how about their chili toped with gtound beef? Thanks, Joe

Ok yall, I just knew someone here would know about the "American Cony Island" Dearborn dogs sold on the web site and I guess at the restaurand in Detroit. And about the chili toped with ground beef. I guess it is the coney sauce toped with ground beef?? Anyone had that at the restaurant? The other thing, it's about selling the kits for fund raisers and the like. The math at the site confused me. Also, if anyone has ordered the kit I would love a review. Joe

PapaJoe, I just ordered a kit. I'll let you know what I think, though I can say, for now, that a full hot dogs with chili buns and onions, for $39,95, including shipping sounds like a pretty good deal, Works out to about $3.33 per hot dog, which actually is cheaper (http://www.americanconeyisland.com/menu.htm) than what it would cost actually to order one over-the-counter. Also, yes, they originally only sold kits for charity fundraisers, but now individual's can order them, too. You can even join the "American Coney Club" and have kits sent to you automatically, at whatever interval you choose. Here's the link: http://www.americanconeyisland.com/menu.htm Now, speaking as a former Detroiter, if only the Lafayette Coney Island would offer kits, too...
