New Indian place on Chicago's North Shore Mon, 09/12/05 1:32 PM (permalink)
For years, we had to drive to Devon Ave. in Chicago's Rogers Park neighborhood for good Indian food. But at last, a really high-quality place has opened on the North Shore, near us - in Highwood. It's called Curry Hut. We went there several months ago when it first opened and were really turned off by the atrocious service. We decided this weekend to give the place one more try, and the service was 100 times better (though the waiter did get one part of our order wrong, but at least he was courteous and apologetic about it). The quality of the lamb I had was top-notch, and the sauces tasted excellent - as good as anything I've had on Devon. A neighbor of ours who's from India said she likes the food there, which is a strong endorsement in my book. Anyway, if you have a chance to go, tell me what you think.
