Don't know if these are available in the US, but Lay's Canada has introduced Spicy Curry and Wasabi flavoured chips.

I have to tell you that I have not seen them in Knoxville but the chip selection in some of the stores are so huge that it is getting hard to distinguish new from old.

I make it simple. If the brand is not "Golden Flake"; then I don't buy it.

        Have you actually tied them?

        How are the wasabi flavoured?

I haven't, actually. I decided to begin my abstinence from junk food for Lent early this year, so unless my willpower dies, it's unlikely that I'll have an opinion on them before Easter. I'm not much of a chip fanatic, anyway. I prefer sweets to salty stuff, thankyaverymuch. ;)

Hm, according to lays.ca, both of the new flavours are regional. They're only available in Toronto and Vancouver. I have a feeling that these are going to be limited flavours, though. About a year ago, Lay's Canada introduced salsa-flavoured chips, and they're no longer available.

Here we have Southwest Ranch and Sweet Chili Sour Cream.. I've tried the latter..it's excellent, but you don't get much quantity for your money.

I tried and liked very much, the LIMON flavored Lay's. They had a eral Tangy taste.
Wish they were still arounf here

I'm not sure who made them, but this week we got a "Thai curry-flavored" chip. I think they have reached the edge of the envelope -- a spicy-sweet kettle-fried chip. Mind you, the new salt and black pepper was ok.... I suppose it's the same reason they keep coming out with funny new colors on cars.

Have you tried the Lay's Poutine Chips? I'm curious to know if they are any good.

I haven't, actually. The Poutine and Roast Chicken flavours used to be carried at Mac's (chain of convenience stores), though I haven't seen either flavour in about 3 years, if not more. As far as I can remember, they were regional flavours, carried only in Eastern Canada. According to Lays.ca, they're still around, though the site doesn't indicate which region they're carried in. I'm sure that they're around in Quebec at the very least. Alas, I'm really not much of a chip person anymore, but I still am curious to try them.

Plain 'ol basic flavored chips for me...I don't care if they are wavy, straight, crinkled or julienned.. Just make them taste like POTATO!
