Please join us in welcoming MAXWELL ANDREW BOWEN, Grandchild Number 23 in the Bowen Family. Max joined us last night at about 8:30 PM. He weighed in at 7 lbs 9 oz. He and his parents are doing fine and look forward to sharing some great Louisville Roadfood in the near future. Here he is at age 25 minutes or so, with his grandmother Janet !!

Yeah, Grandkids are fun for a lot of reasons...among them is the sense of paybacks to your kids for some of the 'stuff' they did to you when you were in the role of 'parent'. When you see the grandkid doing 'whatever' to their parents there is a certain smuggness that comes over you!!. Also when you get a little worn, or tired of the busy life of the visit of a little one (or several little ones) It is a very reassuring feeling to send them along home to their respective parents while you enjoy "Miller-Time" ( or "Makers Time", etc) in the peaceful solitude of your Laz-E-Boy Recliner, with a Scottie-dog asleep on your lap!
