"New" spuds from Green Giant

Have any of you tried the new "Pacific Rose" variety marketed by Green Giant? They have been around for a few years, but have been in short supply. They now have enough that my local Big Y hopes to stock them year around, according to the clerk that I talked to. They are a fairly small red skinned tuber with yellow flesh and thin tender skin. They are not cheap, at least compared to the 10 lb bag of "round whites", but at $2.99 for a 2 1/2 lb bag, they are cheaper than some of the specialty potatos from companies like Frieda's. They are great mashed (skin on) with a little garlic. They also work well cubed and oven baked.
