My wife and I will be driving south on New Years weekend. Anyone have any suggestions for good eating off of Rt. 95? Burger, BBQ, or good old comfort food suggestions would be great.

yes, we stopped at the georgia pig which is 30 seconds off 95 this summer on our trip from boston to orlando, and the bbq sandwich was the best ever. you must stop!!!!!!!!!! get the sandwich.we also got ribs but the sandwich is much better( and cheaper). Of the whole trip, that was our best experience. exit 29 in brunswick, ga. beth g

For home style comfort food (breakfast or lunch) in the Richmond Va area, try Karen's Diner at 2237 W. Broad St., not far off of the "through the city" part of I-95. Frank

The Georgia Pig is wonderful. The sulfur water however leaves something to be desired. If you are driving through Jacksonville during breakfast or lunch, try the Metro Diner. It's only a couple of miles off of I-95 just south of the San Marco district just after you cross the St. John's River.
