Noka Chocolate

The Dallasfood.org guy is at it again. This time he's got a series of articles on Noka Chocolate, the brand that was named #1 by Taste Magazine (in the UK). According to Dallasfood.org's calculations, Noka Chocolate is regular re-molded chocolate sold at a 6,956% markup. Nice margins, eh? More here: http://www.dallasfood.org/ Sincerely, Yumbo

So the scary thing about this whole Noka thing, is that even though they have been shown to be frauds, people will still buy this product just to 'check it out'. Seriously folks, get a Hershey bar, it tastes better.

Well that is one black eye on the fine chocolate industry.... Now does anyone here a fan of high cacao content chocolates and single origin chocolates? I see that Hershey's is big around here so I was just wondeing if you had tried others like.... Guittard Valrhona Callebaut El Rey Amedei Domori ? Great chocolates to try if you haven't yet... Try Bonnat at a much cheaper price. That is the chocolate the Dallas.org article determined was the source for Noka.

While I have tried several on that list, I still find Hersheys to be great. I truly don't think that you have to spend lots for pricey chocolate for it to be good. And I do appreciate the difference in them both.

Sounds good...to each their own...I even like to sneek in a Hershey's once in a while but stick to the high cacao content bars for the most part... Have a good one, Robert www.chocolateguild.com
