Awesome little diner/bistro, everything is homemade/fresh, no canned or pre-made diner crap, very nice almost upscale place, but dining is casual. Had french toast with 3 berries ... awesome! Packed, lines out the door.

According to the yellow pages online, Nookies is the one at 1746 N. Wells and the one at 2112 N. Halsted is called Nookies Too (so I would guess they are related). There is also a listing for a Nookies Tree Restaurant at 3334 N. Halsted, so maybe there is a third one.

Nookie's? To the best of my recollection that was part of the name of a serious disorder that seemed often to affect those of us in the military.

Nookies in Boystown is an oxymoron.

I used to live about three doors down from Nookies Too on Halsted. It was a great hangover breakfast place.

I lived by the Nookie's on Wells Street years ago. It was awesome for breakfast and lunch. It's a real destination and you should not miss it. Try the Reuben.

My wife lived around the block from Nookie's on Halsted 11 years ago when we were first dating. We used to go there for breakfast all the time, and I have fond memories. There were usually long lines for a table on Sunday mornings. I haven't been there since probably 1994, but I hope it hasn't changed.
