Normal Breakfast

What do most of you eat in the morning. When I was growing up , my mother cooked breakfast every morning ( before cholesterol warning days ). Now, I don't eat eggs except maybe once a week. I sometimes eat cereal, but I can eat a meatloaf sandwich, corndog, peanut butter sandwich or any other combination of foods. What do you guys consider a normal breakfast these days?

Grits with sausage, ham, bacon, fried salt pork or fried eggs (sunny side up), or a combination of the one of the meats with eggs and grits. On the weekend, sometimes a frittata, if my 14-year old wants to make it

Normal for me on weekdays is either cereal or muffins (I make the muffins from scratch) if I feel good enough I'll make scrambled eggs, turkey sausage, hash browns and toast with OJ to drink. Weekdays when hubby is home I'll make either pancakes or waffles (again from scratch) with turkey sausage and maybe a fruit salad..:)

Normal breakfast is cursing the coffeemaker for being so slow, slamming the coffee into the car mug, and some more dirty words about being late. It's the abnormal breakfasts that count.

Coffee always---ususally a small glass of juice---and either... for most days, cereal---(Grape nuts,Raisen bran,) or bacon/sausage/ham and eggs with toast or biscuits. We try to something special on the weekend---bunch---waffles or fritatta or crepes. We are defianatle breakfast fans and LOVE to go out for breakfast---especialy when the kids or comapany are in town. Its seems that no matteer where i live---and i have lived all over the contiguous 48 coast to coast and border to border---there is ALWAYS a great breakfast spot!---of course before i went into semiretirement and started on this build your own home project---it was grab coffee and get to work and hope SOMEONE got donuts!

usually fruit and yogurt with juice and coffee, but sometimes oatmeal or eggs. I can skip lunch, but if I don't eat breakfast I feel off all day.

Oatmeal every day, summer or winter. Just drink water and then have tea at work. On Saturday it's a ritual meet friends at the local diner for either sausage gravy over toast, sausage patties with hash browns and toast or a side of corned beef hash with toast. Look forward to those Saturdays!

Large glass of ice water and Diet Coke. My poor deprived children have to fend for themselves. They fix their cereal and juice in Solo cups and eat it while I drive them to school or in the Ag barn.

Most weekdays it's cold cereal and soymilk, or toast or a tortilla with butter or pb, sometimes with a slice of turkey or some leftover cold meat, occasionally a soft-boiled egg. Tea at work. In the summer I'll often just have fruit. On weekends, more frequently in the winter, it's usually brunch - often scrambled eggs w/ or w/out with veggies, turkey bacon, sometimes pancakes or cornbread, turkey bacon or sausage, homefries if we have leftover potatoes, and we're also big fans of leftover chinese or thai food.

Workdays: Slug of juice, maybe a banana, and a yogurt with walnuts stirred in and a piece of toast. Sometimes a hard boiled egg cooked the night before, mostly just the white and toast and juice. Sometimes cereal in vanilla flavored soy milk with fruit if I have some, and juice. Weekends: Maybe an egg over medium, juice, toast. Or I go to a cheap good brunch for a treat. Greenville Bar and Grill in Dallas has a nice brunch on Sat and Sun.

During the weekdays, I usually make something at home and then take it to work and have it with coffee. My favorites are a bologna sandwich, or a PBJ sandwish or a bagel with cream cheese ! On rare occasions, I will stop by a local place called the Biscuit house and get a steak or country ham biscuit !! On weekends I will eat a larger hot breakfast (eggs, toast, sausage or bacon, grits on colder days) and often treat myself to a nice breakfast at Waffle House !
