I guess if you consider french bread pizzas a frozen dinner you've pretty much covered the extent of our indulgence in that area. I'm not a food snob, I just always make time to cook. If I don't, my wife is usually on the phone to the pizza joint before we consider frozen anything, oh, and I apparently don't live on the same earth as Clothier.

Actually I keep a few on hand, regular banquet or freezer queen type dinners. We have a 2 year old and sometimes its just perfect.. a meatloaf dinner or chicken nugget thing.
Personally I like the swedish meatballs, if I add a glob of sour cream.

When I was a kid, tv dinners or pot pies were a very rare treat that we only got when my parents were going out and my mom's cooking was so bad that the tv dinner was like fine cuisine Luckily my father did a lot of the cooking and he was a really good cook. However when they planned to go out it was a big deal to go to the store with my mom and pick out what frozen dinner we wanted for that night. One brand of tv dinner we used to get that was really good was the Nighthawk steak and tater tot dinners, but I haven't seen those in the stores in years.

I always have frozen vegetables in my freezer because the only type of canned veggies we buy are green beans and canned tomatoes. We also use the frozen ravioli and tortilleni. My kids love the frozen french bread pizzas and an occasional turkey pot pie and totino's pizzas are a mainstay with them and their friends when they come home from school hungry. My husband likes almost any Stouffers tv dinner or frozen item. I like the pot pies, and the hot pocket pot pies that have recently come out are great for taking to work. However my favorite tv dinner item repulses the rest of my family - I love the El Charito frozen mexican dinners. Only place I can find them around here are the 99 cents only stores and I make a special trip there when I get the craving.

*Shudders* How can some expensive, transfat-laden, artificial frozen thing beat a good grilled cheese sandwich? And the sandwich cooks faster.

I'm thinking that an "Alice B. Toklas" brownie has an entirely different connotation... Though I suspect that it would improve the palatability of the rest of the TV dinner...

We have a Nestle/Stouffers Outlet about 30 miles from our house . When we go to Gaffeny to sho at Hamricks and the Outlet Stores, we usually go by and pick up some of their food. I like the Macaroni and Cheese rather well. We get pot pies and some of the other items.
They also carry frozen cookies for 1.00 per dozen of the big cookies.
Comes in handy when you want 1 or 2 hot cookies.
I must admit that I still like pot pies once in awhile and even an occasional tv dinner. They were a rare thing to have when I was growing up and once in awhile when in a hurry, we cook one of these.

I bought them for the first time a month ago and went back this past weekend and bought 5 bags..............they are terrific! Actually, there have been very few things that I have ever bought at Trader's that I did not think were excellent quality.

I can't agree more. Everything frozen at TJ's is very very good. Try their Potato Smashers (de-carbed with cauliflower) ... Mix and match different items for a decent quickie meal. Don't overlook the lamb items they have either.

At home we like Mrs. Budds chicken pot pies.I will make either mash potatoes or rice to soak up the gravy. Boston Market has a good meatloaf frozen meal.

Saturday night I cooked a boneless leg of lamb that I got at Trader Joe's last June. It was preseasoned with garlic and rosemary and I added a little more of each. It turned out wonderful cooking it to their temperature and time instructions. I like all of their vegetables, my favorite being the Brittany blend. I have also had their individual lasagna and eggplant parm entrees, they are great for at work lunches.
