Wow, Ann, Neither one of us has any response to our Father's Day menu question. The 5lb lobster I cooked tried to climb out of the pot and almost made it. I've had a few try in the past but this one almost made it!

Thunderstorms, loss of power for 2 hours, and a long nap made my Father's day just about right. I got calls from 7 of the 8 off-spring. Not bad percentage for a rainy day.

One daughter and one call and thats all. I took Mamaw Smith to church and she made me a Angel food cake and ROZ got me a new frying pan to match my set. Unfortunately, they look to good to use as I have them hung up in the kitchen. Paul E. Smith Knoxville, TN

Ann, was out of town. We were in Wildwood, NJ. Went out to a father's day Salsa dancing brunch at an independent mexican joint called Juan Pablos. Food was fantastic. I'll being doing a report on the whole trip, once I have a little time to pull it together. In the meantime, here's a link http://juanpablos.com

I grilled brats, Italian sausages, chicken breasts, and Boca Burgers for a crowd of 10 at my parents' house: Mom & Dad, us & 1 of the kids, my brother & his fiancee, her parents, and her brother. As of right now I haven't heard of anybody getting sick so I think I'm in the clear. Brad

Wife prepped the marinade and meat for sate' and made the peanut sauce. I did the rice pilaf and spinach with beets Asian salad and grilled the meats. Wife made a calfouti with cherries for dessert. Its a cake with four eggs in it so it has a custard/soufle' flavor and with fresh cherries baked in it was awesome.

My dad has been gone for 6 years, but I make it a priority to put a flag on his grave around Memorial Day. His was truly the greatest generation, raised in the depression, fought in WWII. I used a photo of him on my facebook account & enjoyed seeing all the other photos of fathers. My four took their dad out for sushi ,sashimi & saki, just him & his 4 adult kids. A great time!

I miss my Dad, too, even though he has been gone 13 years. I honored him by making one of the ONLY things he ever cooked- a mustard marinated chuck roast on the grill. Turns out like a decent steak...
