Have them eat at the TexAz Grill in Phoenix. One of the best Chicken-Fried Steaks I've ever had----and huge! Chicken Fried Chicken is excellent too and great mashed potatoes. It' not too far off of I-10 so they can get to it easily. They claim to have won the Terlingua, TX BBQ Cookoff with their brisket. I highly recommend them.

I don't know about food but when they get to the I-10 I-215 interchange in Colton (San Bernadino) Calif., tell them to watch out. I spent 3 summers helping to build those bridges.
