Has anyone tried these dogs? Here's the link: http://oldwisc.stores.yahoo.net/grsa.html
I saw them in an ad for the local Acme Fresh Market. If anyone's tried these, what did you think? They're on sale, $4.99 for a 24 oz package.

Thanks for any input.

Tastes are subjective, but these are more coarsely ground than I care for. Northeastern Wisconsin seems to like their weiners and franks made this way; I do not. There is a great meat market called Konop's in Stengleville; no, no Casey here. My friend said, "you like natural casing franks, these are the best, people drive up from Chicago for them". It was a great meat market with its parking lot filled with Illinois plated vehicles but I did not enjoy their franks at all; almost reminded me of skinny Polish sausages. I ended up pan frying them to serve with eggs which I did love; reminded me of the old long-gone and missed South Side Sausage's Polish Delights. Just my 2ยข

Never heard of them, but after reading MWFL's input, I'd sure love to try some!

They also have some very good jerky; it's what I try to copy when making my own.
Krohn's Cheese factory is just a little bit north of here.

"Old Wisconsin Wieners"...great name for a product.

Sounds like the punchline to a joke about Wisconsin geezers.
