Old cookie question - Fri, 04/17/09 12:38 PM ( #1 )
Hi All - Am hoping someone can help (or at least tell me I am not crazy).  I remember when I was a child, in the cookie aisle, there was a box of cookies similar in size and shape to animal crackers (which still come in that same little box), but they were round and chocolate, I guess similar to Nabisco Famous Chocolate Wafers - but they weren't wafer thin as far as I recall.

Anyone have any idea what these were or am I crazy.
Thanks for the help anyone can provide

I used to buy a cookie by that description.  Do you mean Chocolate Snaps?

I think you may be referring to these.  I remember they had chocolate chip and a couple other kinds as well.

Those are the one's I remember.  I would buy a box for the ride home from school.  Delicious.  Very chocolaty.

I used to love the Nabisco Vanilla Marshmallow sandwich cookies in the 50's. I'm sure not too many remember those!!

These weren't Malomars...I know those are still around seasonally. These were simply two nabisco vanilla waffers with a marshmallow in the middle--My favorite cookie in kindergarten. They came in an oblong box, I guess with 6-8 sandwiches in there!

A 1000 thank you's, this is them.  I take it from the other posts that Nabisco no longer makes them.  :-(
Oh well - at least I know I am not crazy.
