Drive an hour to the East and go to Farmer's Kitchen in Atlantic. :) Just kidding. I have no idea about the Omaha area. Need to go there soon for a zoo trip. I'll be watching to see what gets recommended. Seem to remember a Burger Joint mentioned on here in Bellevue....but could be wrong.

The Bohemian Cafe (Reviewed here) is always worth a stop.

Try a Runza - no directions needed, since they're everywhere in Nebraska. But they are good.

Stella's for burgers in Bellevue, excellent choice, Johnnys is great for steaks, side sides have been pretty weak there lately, Bohemian Cafe is excellent choice also, Runza is worth a quick drive through if you've never had one just to see what all the fuss is about, don't care for them that much myself.e

Are you going to be anywhere other than Omaha? Yes, the Bohemian Cafe is much talked about as I used to live in Lincoln, NE, (one hour south) where good restaurants are everywhere. What I LOVED about Nebraska, is the abundance of Mom-n-Pop breakfast diners. I haven't lived there in ten years, so this is a bit dated. Call beforehand. In Lincoln, Havelock area, Virginia's Cafe. Also in Lincoln, The Hi-Way Cafe, makes a mean, ridiculously fattening bacon and ranch dressing omelet. But one of the BEST breakfast diners I ever drove to, was clear across the state in McCook, NE. It was called "Our Place," and everything was from scratch. There was a cute museum there in that town, Museum of the High Plains, which is why we drove all the way out there. Well, well, worth it.
