I'd only bid on that if it had a SuperBowl ring on it.

that's just insane! It irks me to no end when we struggle to fundraise and there are people out there who will spend more than $6,000 for a hot dog.

A fellow is walking down the street when he comes upon a hot dog vendor and his cart. Feeling a bit peckish the fellow inquires, "How much for a hot dog sir?" The vendor replies, "$25,000." The hungry fellow says, $25,000?!? At that price you certainly won't sell very many hot dogs." Says the vendor, "I only need to sell one." Apparently the hungry fellow wasn't a Seahawks fan.

To think that anyone is stupid enough to bid over $10,000 on a hot dog is ridiculous. I guess I can go out and buy a ten pack of Ball Park franks and not have to work for at least a year. When someone asks how I'm doing so well without working I'll just tell them that my dogs are working for me!

I thought it was a joke, or that at the very least, bidders (or phony bidders) were fooling with ebay. I just checked out the profile of the high bidder, and I think that it would be hard to fake a profile like his (hers?) without help from ebay and the FBI! At the end of this, I wonder if some online casino or car dealer will win just for the publicity. The "$100 hamburger" may be common in aviation both among general aviation pilots, and certain executive jets that get catered in Alaska, but this frozen, vacum sealed dog is crazy!!

I see it is now up to $10k, and she is donating 15 % of the proceeds to a charity if it goes up to $50K, and 25% if it goes over $50K. All I can say, is there is some pretty stupid people out there wasting their money on something that according to the ebay listing, is NOT for consumption.

the whole thing sickens me. It's not a question of CAN you pay $10,000 for a hot dog, because, there are people out there who can spend $10,000 on anything. It's really a question of SHOULD someone spend that much on a hot dog. IMO, the answer is no! How about donate ALL of the money to charity minus the $5 the lister paid for the hotdog at the stadium? Then I wouldn't be so sick.

Golden palace is the outfit who paid all that money last year for that 10 year old toasted cheese sand that supposedly carried the image of the Our Lady. I know they paid well over 10k for it.
