After several years of investigation it has been determined that on March 21, 1980 Joe Rogo (a 21 year old Italian male) was happily dining at the Ooh Ooh Bird Cafe, when Mr. Ewing was shot. Several friends provided an alibi for Mr. Rogo, and submitted (unaltered) polaroid pictures of Joe, as he dined on wings, and sang into the early morning hours. As not to offend the high snapshot standards of Roadfood community (with all of the waving and blowing involved with the polaroid system), these photos are not available, upon request. Sorry. 
However, it is still too early to determine the exact whereabouts of Mr. Rogo, the night the lights went out in Georgia! Mr. Rogo, I suggest you catch a few of the ol' episodes of Designing Women.

As long as they were shooting at the "other" JR, I'm cool.  I think I heard about Men losing their ability to "Matriculate" from watching Designing Women.

So, Joe Rogo really exists.
I met a handsome guy on the NJ Hot Dog Tour in Sept, who was claiming to be JOE ROGO. THE Joe Rogo...
So unless there is someone going around impersonating Joe Rogo, I believe I have met the "Rogo man" himself!!
As long as we're not asking "Who Shot JR?" I'll admit it was me.
Even his nametag says "JOE ROGO" ! I think he was the real deal!

I heard a story about the Pope looking out over the masses, and a Cardinal was over heard asking, if he knew any of the multitude by name.
Pope answered, "not really, accept for Joe Roco. I met him at the Ooh Ooh Bird Cafe".

Our pal, Joe Rogo not Joe Roco  !!!! Although, we could never forget our other good friend Joe Rockhead, from the Flintstones. But Joe Rogo has those eyes, that hint to a interesting story. A GREAT man, with ish eyes.
