Open Wendy's, closed Tim Horton's
Sun, 12/31/06 9:33 PM

My parents reported seeing an open Wendy's and a closed Tim Horton's this afternoon. I know the location; both are under the same roof. I guessed that the reason is because Wendy's spun off the Tim Horton's concept. Has anyone else seen an open Wendy's and closed Tim Horton's in the same building?

I know that Horton's is starting to expand into the U.S. and is developing combination locations. Are you sure that the Timmy's just hasn't opened yet? Where did Mom & Dad see the restaurants? jrp

This was on Indian Ripple Road at County Line Road on the Kettering/Beavercreek line outside of Dayton near the Greene Town Center.

I've seen them in MI up to 50 miles from the border. I didn't know they made it to Ohio. That is Wendy's base of operations, right? Probably test marketing.

There are Tim Hortons all over Ohio, and they are in New England, too. Tim Horton's bought the Bess Eaton chain in Connecticut and Rhode Island.

We have at least 4 Tim Horton's here in the city (Erie, PA) that i know of. One that I didn't even know had been built until I passed it a few days ago.

Thanks for all the updates on TH's locations. I was ignorant of their reach in the northeast. They should do well in MI/WI/MN with all the hoser wannabes and hockey players. Good curling! Jim
