                      This thread still makes me laugh. Every year or so I look it up. Have you ever seen a La Caja China grill? AKA the Cuban Microwave. It works the same way. And maybe the best way to cook an entire pig. You will never get a bad meal out of a Orion Cooker....Russ

                                Cooking onions in an orion cooker is very easy and they come out deee lish ussssss.
                                 
                                My only issue with the BGE is they are TOP HEAVY, and if i am paying that much for a cooker I dont want to see it in a million pieces after it hits a crack in the driveway and topples over.
                                 
                                I have seen this done with several.

                                  Don't let the use of charcoal scare you away from this cooker. It uses indirect heat to cook. The fumes from the charcoal never touches the meat. I have had great success with it cooking most anything.

                                      Ah The only Onion (I know, but I kind of like it) defender that contributed more than gushing prose, Russ Jackson, has left the building.
