Chewy, I'm surprised you haven't switched to an Orion for all your Chubby's cooking...

This thread still makes me laugh. Every year or so I look it up. Have you ever seen a La Caja China grill? AKA the Cuban Microwave. It works the same way. And maybe the best way to cook an entire pig. You will never get a bad meal out of a Orion Cooker....Russ

Cooking onions in an orion cooker is very easy and they come out deee lish ussssss. My only issue with the BGE is they are TOP HEAVY, and if i am paying that much for a cooker I dont want to see it in a million pieces after it hits a crack in the driveway and topples over. I have seen this done with several.

Don't let the use of charcoal scare you away from this cooker. It uses indirect heat to cook. The fumes from the charcoal never touches the meat. I have had great success with it cooking most anything.

Aloha Fellow Orion Cookers! Its been a while. I hope everyone had a really great 4th of July celebration? I have a little clean-up to do after I finish work today. I need to clean my Orion. Yes since 2007 and still going strong. I made 6 racks of ribs yesterday for our Independence Day celebration. I haven't checked the forum, but I am looking for new recipes for the Orion if anyone has some. Catch you all later!

Hey Chewy and MFL I think this year I should bring this thread out of hiding and talk about the GREAT tasting turkey that the Orion Cooker Can Do. I put a frozen 38lb turkey in it and Viola in only 7 hours it was burnt to a crisp. This thing is simply amazing. Mar - Junior Burgers go well with an orion cooker we should all get together and roast some. BWA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA It's BACKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!

Doomo I have been a member here for a few months... I read it for a couple of years before that...I mostly read it because I travel a lot... I like to find interesting places to eat on my travels. My wife recently purchased a Orion Cooker... It made a good meal... I told her she could probably find recipes and advice here... Well, she read this thread... She told me you guys were the biggest bunch of assholes on the planet. She wanted NOTHING to do with you. She specifically mentioned CajunKing... She said you guys chased out anyone who mentioned it or asked questions... After reading the first 5 or 6 pages I must admit, I am forced to agree with her. Why are you guys so damned... Well, I will put it this way... If one of you had the balls to say some of that crap to my face I would be doing something that let you get that handicapped parking sticker you always wanted. What the hell is up with you guys? Wow I missed this post originally it does pay and go back and read ALL 15 pages, it was quite the laffer. Now to get my recipe book out for roasted trolls and gnomes on an Orion cooker.

Cajun King, You do realize there is a professional Google trolling group for the Orion Cooker. They'll be back now. Their sister organization is the Social Tea Biscuit group.
