MOUNT PLEASANT, Wis. —One southern Wisconsin homeowner is probably not in love with the Oscar Mayer wiener.

The famed hot dog's Wienermobile crashed Friday into the deck and garage of a home in Mount Pleasant, about 35 miles south of Milwaukee.

Police say the driver was trying to turn the Wienermobile around in the driveway and thought she was moving in reverse. But she instead went forward and hit the home.

It sat in the driveway as if it were stuck in the garage Friday afternoon.

No one was home and no one was injured. No citations were immediately issued.

Both the home and vehicle suffered moderate damage, which Oscar Mayer spokeswoman Sydney Lindner says insurance will cover the damage.

That wiener must be accident prone:

    Massive sausage crashes

The Oscar Mayer Wienermobile (as featured in this edition of The Weird World of Wheels and The Best of the Weird World of Wheels) crashed in the US this week.

The driver of the 27-foot-long promotional sausage lost control on a patch of ice in Pennsylvania in the US. The humungous four-wheeled meat replica was eventually pulled back onto the road by a tow truck.

This moment in time took place near my neighborhood, yesterday morning. Imagine waking to this giant mechanical wiener invading and destroying your home. Oh the humanity! Here's the story with 9 pictures: http://www.fox6news.com/news/witi-090717-wienermobile-crashes-into-house,0,6217102.story Had the driver been behind the wheel of the newer Mini Cooper Wienermobile version, the house would have been okay.

It seems to me that the account the driver gave doesn't fit the results.  If you're turning around in a driveway in that monstrosity, I can't imagine why it would have gone up so far into the house.  Perhaps, if she hadn't been on her cell phone, or texting, or paying more attention to the music on her ipod, the damage wouldn't have been so great.

The driver hit the gas instead of the brake and started singing, "Oh I wish I wasn't an Ocsar Meyer Wienermobile driver."

One account says she mistakenly hit the gas instead of the brake and the other account says she thought she was in reverse when she was actually in drive.  Sounds like to me that she didn't really know what she did wrong.

The sight of CSD in his Vienna Hot Dog attire was enough to distract even the most seasoned of Oscar Meyer drivers!

Yup that was what happened. LOL I wonder  how many units they have on the road, must be several. I have a case of OM whistles I bought on Ebay for $6.00, but 50% don't work.  I give them away at events.

                      She was 22 years old.
The article did not mention her hair color.

This would have made national news if it hit my house.

It looks like the house was damaged more than the wienermobile.
