While in the shower getting ready for work this morning I slipped and wound up putting my right knee through the side wall of the tub. I'm cutup above and below the knee, nothing serious enough to need stitches. The tub on the other hand has a big hole in the side. I'm gonna have to do something to try and patch that for now. MikeS.

Sympathy, Mike. How does one patch something like that? Gotta be water-proof, right?

MikeS.- What a lousy way to start the day. But, I'd much rather the tub have a whole in its side that you having one.

Just remember Neosporin and aspirin. Sympathy over...this sounds like a bone head move I would have made. I had a roomate in college cut an avacado and his hand to the extent he DID need stiches. I was SOOO helpful, I laughed the entire way to the ER and through the whole process. Get well soon and Scotland makes a wonderful pain relief liquid.

PP and I cut a piece of shower curtain a couple inches bigger all around then the hole. We then used a very strong plastic tape to seal the plastic to the side of the tub. It won't work for a bath but we should be good for a shower until we can get the tub replaced. V960, Scotland isn't my choice of painkiller, Russia or Puerto Rico is my choice for painkiller liquids I slipped and fell while bending over to pick up the bar of soap I'd dropped.

God be w/ you and also Baccus. Seriously...Neosporin and changing the bandage three or four times a day is helpful. Being the Jewish Mother...have some chicken soup...can't hurt.

Mike, drop the soap was not something taken lightly in the military . Seriously though Canadian medicine is the best I can think of. Sorry about the cut knee. It must be pretty tough though as it was able to bust your tub. I guess the tub is not cast iron? Paul E. Smith Knoxville, TN

Well, I don't know exactly where start, but I'll give it a shot. As mentioned previously, dropping the soap in the shower is a risky proposition! Some folks are into such adventures. I ain't passing judgment here, I understand you wrecked the bath tub and I'm sympathetic concerning your injuries. Be careful and get well soon! Ole Rouxdog PS... How is that day job?

Well I was alone in the shower so no danger from that angle. I have always heard there were funnny gay things going on in the military... The tub is going to cost me about 500 to replace. Ouch. R'dog, dayshift is here, I'm trying to make the most of it. MikeS.

I have three walk in showers and I put mats in all three to keep from falling. The shower can be a slick place with the shampoo and falling is a likely thing. Falling hurts as evidenced by Mike. Paul E. Smith Knoxville, TN

I think I'd have to try a fiberglass patch on that tub.
