Our New Road Food Place

I'm really excited to share this news with you here. My husband Michael and I (now 61 and 55 years old) are opening our own roadfood place next month.
 
It's called the Pirates Lakeside Grill and is located on Nassau Lake in Rensselaer County, New York.
 
We'll be serving seven kinds of hot dogs: Usinger's,  two types of Zwiegle's, Hoffmann's, Hebrew National, Nathan's, Arcadian Pastures (local, grassfed, nitrate-free). Four different burgers: 1/3 lb. 100% Angus Beef, local, pastured buffalo burgers, local grassfed, organic beef, and a veggie Garden Burger.

I really like the idea of a variety of hot dogs and especially emphasis on local products.  Good luck and I'll be sure to stop in next time I'm up that way.

Since I grew up in North Greenbush and I've been to Nassau Lake many times, I am looking forward to stopping by for a dog.

Sounds great! Which Usinger's frank will you be serving? I love their beef dogs, but unfortunately they are not available in New Jersey. Good luck.

I grew up in Union! Graduated Union High School in 1973. I lived on Poplar St. near Arcadia Park. Small world!
