Oven Stuffer Roaster on my Weber Sun, 05/17/09 2:58 PM (permalink)
My kids say I am out of control taking pictures of everything I cook but I can't tell you how much fun I am having. A year ago( or more, I guess) I asked for help as to how to do this. John A(thanks John) was kind enough to help but then my camera went on the fritz followed by my computer. Since I've been back up and running though, I guess I have been going full speed. Here is our dinner today...

I stuffed the 6 pound Oven Stuffer with fresh herbs, garlic cloves and onion. Rubbed it with Olvive Oil and sprikled on salt and pepper

I purchased some beatuiful golden beets at my local market.

My absolute favorite Mother's Day gift!

The finished roaster, beautiful!

I braised the beet greens in a little olive oil and garlic and cubed and oven roasted the beets in olive oil, salt and pepper then tossed them together. Delicious!

Oh, yum!! I absolutely love beets and yours were sooo pretty!! have you noticed that it's much easier to get a non-beet lover to eat them, IF they aren't red?!  I once gave my beet HATING boyfriend yellow ones and he licked the plate clean!!

Oh my...that all looks delicious!!!  I love beets, even the red ones!!!  Our local farmer's market is going to be opening in a few weeks and I can't wait.  Beets and greens are already on my list.  How long did you roast your beets and at what temperature??

It used to be the same way at my house but it's pretty much accepted.  If there's food on the grill there're probably going to be a few photos taken.

The idea of taken photos in a restaurant still horrifies them, though.  I've discovered that it's a great way to get them to stay home when we want to go out to eat.

          The chicken looks great!

Glad I was able to help with the pictures Agnes. You're a good student, all AAA's for you. You certainly do not need any help with cooking.

Agnes - So you, too, sought professional food photography help.....The man missed his calling..I'm telling you.  He should be the Senior Editor at Gourmet Magazine.  I'm serious!

Agnes, my hats off to you. I grilled some chicken breats yesterday with my homemade rub... the funny thing is everytime we open the fridge all you can smell is the grilled breasts. A little tooooo much garlic powder this time.

We served them with some ziti and homemade meat sauce.
