I've always wanted to try a Popeye's.

Popeye's is going downhill - fast.

I called in an order for two boxes of Spicy Chicken...16 pieces for $9.98 (before tax) is a pretty good deal. I like the Spicy Chicken, probably is my favorite FF Chicken. We'll have an afternoon lunch/dinner of chicken and a salad.  Janet will then strip and store the remaining chicken to use in her lunches for a few days.
  This was a good deal, despite the snide remarks from from the original poster.

Mayor Al.....My ex used to do the same thing till she was busted by the neighbors. Turns out they they were nothing but a bunch of peeping Tom's!

Neighbors sometimes should just mind their own business.

Sheesch Ernie...I guess I forgot a comma in there somewhere.  Although my neighbors...several hundred yards away, aren't above that sort of reporting. What I intended to say was that Janet removes the chicken meat from the bones and skin and preserves it (short-term) for use in salads and quickie lunches for us!

Here in Peoria (metro area is about 150,000 people) there is just one Popeye's. Around 5 pm they were starting to run out of chicken, so they closed the inside part (where there had been as many as 50 people waiting in line) and made everyone go thru the drive-thru.  Some walk-ups from the neighborhood were rather unhappy about that, but some got around it by asking people waiting in the drive-thru line if they could get in the back seat of their cars.  By about 7 pm, the wait in the drive-thru line was still over a half hour.

Just who waits in line for a hour for some cheap Fried Chicken?........Nevermind I know now.

It is my opinion that Popeye's is probably the best fast food chicken around.  But I can't imagine standing in line for a half hour to purchase it!
