Packer-Bear NFC Championship game

I wish I could join in, but I will be sitting in my Steelers Girl Cave watching the 2nd game on Sunday......  On the Stairway to #7 in '11.........

I would be happy to host a get-together except I have a really ....normal... sized TV.

This Chicagoan is hoping for a Green Bay/Pittsburgh Super Bowl.  The idea of these two hard scrabble, working class towns hammering each other for sixty minutes should make for a great game.  While I have friends and connections to both cities, come February 6th I'm afraid I will be wearing the Gold and Green (sorry buffetbuster and Ralph Melton--I'm sure if the Jets should miraculously win today, you'll turn into Packer Backers too), hollering "Go Pack!" until the final play of the game.

Thanks, Buddy! It was a tense game, and towards the end I wasnt sure who was going to win.Will be happy to have you on "our team" for the SuperBowl!!

I'm not sure why it was tense for you guys--The Packers had The Bears number from the kick-off.  It didn't even get interesting until our third string quarterback finally got in there in the fourth quarter and started playing some Football.

P.S. Watching The Steelers man-handle The Jets; I'm glad it's you and not us going to the big game in February.  I'll be rooting for you, but you won't have a cakewalk like you did today.

The Bears tackling was uncharacteristically sloppy in the 1st Quarter.  Had they played their usual game for 60 minutes, I think they'd be going to Dallas.
Now I got to find a place to watch the Super Bowl in Arizona. 


I am not the only Packers fan in Buckeye.

Unfortunately "The Legend of Caleb Hanie" didn't have the ending I was hoping for but it was still a hard-fought game right to the end, just as it should've been.  I'm disappointed but can't say that I'm surprised, as the Packers are a good team and many picked them to make it this far even before the season started.

Of course, the worst part of the day is that The Contingent couldn't get it together for a get-together.  Watching your team lose among friends--even when your friends are your "enemies"--is still better than watching alone.
