Many, many cheeseburgers ago, when I was much younger and svelter, I remember repeat visits to San Fran and a delightful coffee shop called the Pam Pam right downtown on Powell St. They had absolutely terrific burgers. The downtown location (pretty sure there were others) was open 24 hrs. Even though my memory of those visits has faded I still have a sneaking hunch they were some of the best burgers I ever ate. Anybody remember them? Are they still around? Tell me yes and I might have to go online looking for a cheap fare to SF. QFan Bonita Springs, FL p.s. If the answer is no and they are a goner maybe we'll have to move this post over to the Long Gone Regional Chains

I'm not familiar with the place so I looked it up in the SF phone book (both white and yellow pages)--no luck. I think it's gone.
