Par Fry Chicken Wings

Does anyone do this? I have never but I'm going to try. It was a suggestion from a friend. She par fries then re-fries or grills when ready. Any other suggestion? I've got the sauces down pat but looking to cut back on the length and time of frying fresh wings.
