Parrot Cay Lunch Meet

Text by BaahBen, Pictures by SKBob

"Father(s) and Son Meat-Up at Parrot Cay, South Daytona Beach"
> JohnA and Baah Ben met their surrogate son, SKBob at this very
interesting spot for lunch.  Originally a Long Doggers, the two original
partners split up and the name was changed.  Sometimes that's a concern.
There are Long Doggers still operating in 4 or 5 other locations including
Melbourne.  What's in a name change?  Fortunately, nothing in this case.
>
> This was a really neat  little place and popular, too!  We arrived at
noon and within the hour, the place was jumping.  Pretty impressive for a
Thursday.  It had the feel of another very popular local place - Caribbean
Jack's in Daytona Beach.  You are giving up the water view, but for many
inlanders, you're avoiding a 20 minute drive.  The outdoor seating area was
great. There is an indoor dining room, too.  But it was a beautiful day and
everyone was dining outside.
>
> The restaurant was immaculate and the service was excellent.  Two signs
of a caring owner. The food was your typical wings, burgers, salads,
chicken and fish sandwiches that can be found in many similar places on the
Inter coastal here in the Daytona area.  The food was very acceptable.
Everything that was supposed to be served hot was served that way.  Young
SK had a hot dog with the works and a order of very good seasoned curly
fries.  Ben had wings (medium) and curly fries, too.  The accompanying
celery and carrot sticks were fresh.  JohnA had a nice salad.

Neither one of these two guys will admit to being my real father, but I know who it is.

Hey Ann..Thanks.  How's the weather in Wisconsin?

I know it looks tempting down here right now, but in a matter of months, it will be hot as hell..  Right now we have drought and soon fires.  Then we have a lull and we start up with the hurricanes.

Obviously, I do not work for Florida's Tourism Commission.
