Paul, Sundancer, Needs your Good Thoughts!

My friend, and our senior posting member needs your support.

Paul's wife, Judy, has a very serious medical problem. The Doctors will begin chemo-therapy perhaps as soon as tomorrow. Apparently surgery is not an option at this point. Paul and Judy were just made aware of the gravity of the situation yesterday.

As you can imagine the impact of this announcement has caused them both much pain and distress. They have family nearby that are doing all they can to provide the support needed during this difficult time.

I think it is within our power to lend moral support and ask for your good thoughts and prayers in whatever form you care to lend them. Even before his retirement Paul (Sundancer) has been an active part of the Roadfood 'family'. It has been my personal pleasure to meet with him several times and to call him my friend.

We wish Judy a speedy and complication free recovery, and Paul the peace of mind to know that we--his extended family -- wish the very best for our friend.

May the waters smooth over for you, and you both have many more happy times together. You have my prayers.

Chemo is not so fun but in the case of my neighbor, at 67, she's doing GREAT!, and is almost perfect. I hope the same for Judy. You know Paul, once everything's up and running right you'll be enjoying the best of times together! All my best wishes. G

My husband and I have been down the same road 4 times during the last 14 years. Today, at age 66, he has been cancer free for 6 years.

We believe in miracles, and so does our town, Bernie is one.

I haven't posted here in almost 2 months. But I thought this warranted a posting. Paul and Judy, both of you are in Jane's and my thoughts. Judy, try to keep a positive outlook. Your attitude can make a difference in the outcome of your treatment. Your strength will enable others to stay strong with you.
Paul, your role here is to keep Judy thinking positively and keeping yourself positive.
With a good attitude and God's help, the both of you will weather this storm.

All: you have no idea how much your thoughts and prayers mean to Judy and myself. To have so many friends who does not personally know Judy or myself offering their thoughts and prayers are very inspiring and brought tears to judy and myself.

Thanks to all for the personal phone calls.

As you can guess, this has brought immense stress to our entire family. Judy is a Sunday school superintendent and has a huge amout of support from her church and she was extremely impressed and pleased from the wishes and prayers on Roadfood.

She will start additional biopsy's and chemo immediately. It is moderate lymphoma and it treatable.

Laura and I are saddened by Judy's illness. However, we know that she is being given the best care possible.
