My favorite peanut butter is what I make when I toss a double handful of roasted peanuts into the cuisinart and grind them into slightly chunky butter, then salt to taste. For store-bought, I naturally go for one of the natural brands-- I'm not really picky between Smucker's or Laura Scudder, whatever's available where I'm shopping. But after a decade or so of natural peanut butter, I can never again eat the overly processed, sickly sweet store brands that taste of the chemicals they need to keep the product from going rancid. I'm not a food snob for most foods, but I am when it comes to peanut butter.
