Peg Legs Are Back

I was passing by the local Long John Silvers, (Nicholasville, KY) and a sign out front was advertising "new" menu items, those being green beans, baked potatoes, and the much-beloved peg legs. I have never had these, but I know they have a few fans on this board, so I just thought I'd mention it. I may have to give them a try sooner or later.

Must be a regional thing My LJS is not doing them I went to a LJS today in Elsmere, KY they had shrimp scampi or orange glazed salmon on the menu, plus deep fried catfish only on wednesdays tho. I tried the scampi , I was going to have BBQ, needless to say i was disapponited to find out that my bbq place is now only open on weekends. FT, I hope yo find your peg legs, so you can continue to dance your jig.

It might help if you would tell us what these "Peg Legs" actually are. Since they are available at LJS, I assume that they are some sort of seafood concoction, but that is just a guess. They could be chicken legs for all I know. Please enlighten us.

Hello All, They are chicken, about the size of wings, but are like little chicken legs with a wonder LJS breading on them. Must more meaty than wings where you have to tear apart those two bones to find any meat. Take Care, Fieldthistle

They are the drumette part of the chicken wing. I loved them as a kid and would eat them now, today if I found that we had them back. Amazing what you find when you visit the "chain" forum. That just goes to show we have NO roadfood here!
