Penn St stoops very low

I never though my "old" buddy Joe Pa (not PapaJoe) would stoop so low----but PSU's defensive star this year probably will be a guy imported from England. England, Ah, Saints preserve us. Probably doesn't even have a green card, or speak American. And what do those guys running around in thier undies know about real football ? Well anyhow Jack Crawford 6-5/275 is the guy they think will be a star. Good thing they don't play The Irish, and lucky it'tis for Crawford. Go Irish !!!!!!!!!

Penn State might actually have a football team if it had a Stoops instead of an octogenarian.

Of course, you are aware that Knute Rockne was born in Norway.

I think, NFL Europe was created to bring American football to Europe, which in turn would bring European players to the US. Looks like the plan is working.

Actually the guy came here as a junior in high school. He went out for basketball which he thought was soccer until he got on the court. The round ball got him a little mixed up, don't you see. Someone said--let's have fun and send the big ox out for football---and low and behold-----he became a star defensive player. Must have some tough Irish blood in him somewhere. Saps, I am aware of a lot of things that are important, if irrelevant I try to ignore them, but ----Even if Rockne had been born in Norway, he spent his childhood. teens etc etc in the good old USA. BUT---thanks to Mr Michael and his link we know the real story.. Sorry, Score Old Boy, Mr Crawford never held a football (American style) until he was a junior in HS. Turned to football after missing out on basketball.

This thread confuses me? So you are against players from other countries participating in NCAA sports?

It is a good thing that Penn State doesn't play Notre Dame. It would hurt their strength of schedule for the BCS.

What did Kelly miss out on this guy? He slipped through the cracks while Kelly was rounding up Nate Montana and his merry band of Drunken' Irish.

Sir Joseph of Pittston-----sour grapes to some, a lovely vinegar to others---- Kelly would be renounced throughout the Old Sod, Boston and New York if he ever brought a 100% full blooded Englishman onto the hallowed grounds of Our Lady's college. I hope the lad does well, JoPa needs a few good things happening as he heads for the last round-up. From what I have read Crawford appears to be the real deal.

Food-B-You-------How's this--- Bowden and Paterno oppose each other in the AARP Bowl. Have to be played in Retirement Village, Florida. early in the evening. Bowden is complaining because he got fired even though his teams were losing. I guess old gizzers can't walk away gracefully. Didn't Bear bryant die a month after he retired. The other 2 guys are afraid to retire.

Cav------------When The Jaspers bring back football Joe Paterno will be the first guy mentioned as coach---he will be the only one to remember when we played. I saw two games against Fordham and we got clobbered in both. Pretty green jerseys though.
