People who park over the white line!

I miss my old 24/7 parking spot in downtown Minneapolis in Ramp B on the skyway level. It is now right adjacent to the new Target Field Plaza where the Twins play. I drove downtown today. Like I said, I miss my old 24/7 parking spot that I had for over 17 years. I felt like a stranger after 3-1/2 years away and retired.

White lines? What white lines? All our parking lots are now covered with packed snow and black ice in Minnesota. Late in the winter it just finally overwhelms the plows because of the little nuisance snows of less than an inch that just get packed down. Our snow does not melt until late March.

Our parking lot at work is atrocious. They did such a horrible job plowing that we've lost a good 6-10 spots due to them not hauling the snow away. Parking is at a premium to begin with, now it's worse.
 
The city only plowed our street wide enough for one car to make it through at a time. I'm wondering if my landlord can tell the city he will pay his taxes when they come finish the plow job on our street?

Where I live, that's not only common, but expected every winter.  Most places don't have somewhere to put the snow if they do haul it away, nor the means to haul it.  And city streets here are usually clogged with cars parked because residents cannot grasp the concept of "odd-even" parking, so the plows couldn't do a good job if you held a gun to their heads (shoot...city streets are usually only passable by one car at a time in the summer because of how people park).  Sure, in winter the cars get ticketed, then stickered, then eventually towed, but it's a well over two-week process.  By which time the snow-moat around them is so huge you can barely see them.

I cant stand finding a good place to park, only to find the person next to the spot over the line. Swearing under my breath about what an a**hole they are, I simply move on. To me, the worst offense is when you are waiting and waiting for a spot, and some jerk pulls in before you from the other direction.Then, I want revenge!!!

Oops sorry! Ever stop to think that a person may have not realized they parked over the line? Lets be more positive guys! happy vibes!

 I tend to not let the barely over the line straddlers bother me too much but if someone just blatantly takes up two spaces or parks at an angle across two spaces I feel they need a gentle reminder in the form of a note under the wiper that asks "Did you really have to park this way or are you just a selfish a**hole?"

i rekon its ok for them to drive straddling the center line also ??
idiots need to be educated, that way theres less line infractions and more happy vibes....
on the other hand, learn how to park or take the bus....

lol, that happened to me during xmas shopping last year at the mall (never again)....
i got out of my truck and walked over and knocked on the window and asked him what did he think i was sitting there for and that he needed to get out of my spot(a carload of teenagers), he tried to say he didnt see me, but he moved out of my spot anyway, lol......
there was a security guard watching the whole thing, he chased me down at the door and shook my hand and said he gets tired of seeing all the "young punks" trying to push people around in the parking lot....lol, made my day :)
