Personality Test & How You Like Your Eggs Cooked

I heard this on the radio one morning. Just for fun--or is it? IF YOU LIKE YOUR EGGS... Sunny Side Up - You are an optimist and easy going. Over Easy - You are precise and know what you want. Hard Boiled (Hard Cooked) - You are a no-nonsense type, quick to form an opinion. Scrambled - You are agreeable and steady, go with the flow. Soft Boiled (Soft Cooked) - You are gentle, sensitive, neat, not easy to please. Poached - You are orderly and likes things in their place. Omelet - You enjoy taking risks!

What's risky about an omelet? Dan Brandon, who can't make an omelet without breaking an egg.

I think that would qualify you as having dissociative disorder. Ann likes over easy, Annie likes soft-boiled, annpeeples like poached, and so on and so on.....

I was trying to decide which way I liked the best, but I agree with Mr. Hoffman I like them anyway I can. I can honestly say there are very few ways I do not like my eggs. In fact the only way I can think of is "Rocky" style

If you're using an egg-poacher, that's one thing, but classic poached eggs are anything but orderly. Over easy myself.

I like them all the ways described --- but omelettes are probably the favorite --- just depends on what I'm in the mood for breakfast that day. I also like those briney pickled eggs as a snack, but not for breakfast. Andrea

My father's family always had jars of beets and eggs around. They are church of the brethern (Old Order). My father still makes them about twice a year. There is something wrong about a purple egg tho

quote:Originally posted by Peachpie9 My husband loves pickled beets. I was reading an old Amish cookbook the other day and saw a recipe for pickled beets and eggs. You cook the beets, make the brine, boil some SMALL eggs (I really had to look to find these) and put it all together. It seems like it'll be good because of the spice mixture. The beets are just about the same size as the eggs. It's pretty, if nothing else. It's brining right now. We'll see. My grandmother came from a Pennsylvania Dutch background and used to make pickled beets and eggs, and we'd have them at every picnic and at many other family gatherings over the years. I never ate them as a kid-- not much of a pickled-foods-lover in those days and not real crazy about them now-- when I especially remember her serving them, but I always thought the eggs looked pretty. [Edited to add: I like poached eggs best and my answer reflects 'You are orderly and likes things in their place.' I'd say that describes me pretty well. There's nothing quite like a perfectly poached egg.]
