Philly to Myrtle Beach on 95 with 3 kids 9 and under. Suggestions? Thu, 07/23/09 1:20 PM (permalink)
Something not too far off the highway <20 minutes.  We will try anything but love BBQ, good burgers, hot dogs, pizza, diners, WHATEVER!  As long as it is good roadfood!

Thanks in advance for any help.

Q:  Philly to Myrtle Beach on 95 with 3 kids 9 and under. Suggestions?

    Yes.  Noise-canceling headphones.

Thanks.  I'll be here all week.  Try the veal.

As for food suggestions, you can start with many of the topics here: http://www.roadfood.com/F...hid=61138&high=i95 as there is already a wealth of information available.  If you can narrow down your parameters some (i.e. dinner in/around Richmond, breakfast somewhere in North Carolina) or places that you are considering (Baltimore crab cakes?  G&M or Faidley's - or somewhere else?), then folks can give some better, targeted recommendations.

Since you did mention BBQ, I am a fan of Buz and Ned's in Richmond, which is easy access to/from I-95.

"Is this thing on?  Tip your waitress."

Thanks Man.  I'm new to the boards and did a quick search before posting.  I'll dig a little deeper try and narrow down where we will be around lunchtime.  Thanks for the BBQ suggestion.  I'll check it out.

once you get to Myrtle, head down to Surfside Beach and
try Joey Dogg's, a new joint on business 17 across from
the Campground....nothing on the menu over 4.99,
using a 75 year old hot dog chili recipe.  And post pics with
        your review!

You don't say when you will be traveling??? My wife, her daughter and  the two grandkids in that part of the family will arrive in Myrtle Beach Friday Aug 21 and enjoy a pretty nice package deal for the weekend at the Coral Beach Resort, with theme park, water park, Ripleys and a lot of eating and beach/pool time included. She''ll be home at the end of four days....ready to pick up after her husband and the doggies.
I think I may take a long nap that weekend if the mower doesn't demand my time.
