Phil's B-B-Q----Eufala,Al

My son and I were returning from a wedding this past Saturday and I saw a billboard for Phil's. I had heard glowing reports from a blogger that I read occasionally so we decided to stop and am so happy we did. As soon as you get out of the car you can smell the wood and the BBQ pangs set in. I had the chopped pork which is chopped coarse and my som had the ribs. We split both plates. The pork had a lot of smoky bark in it and was great with any of the available sauces. 5 or 6 if I remember correctly. The stew was really good but the potato salad was some of the best we have ever tasted. There was either sour cream or maybe even Ranch dressing blended into it which gave it a unique flavor. It is worth a visit if you are in the Eufala area.

It's been a few years since we were at Phil's but I enjoyed my meal there.  I wouldn't mind spending more time investigating the BBQ in that section of Alabama at all!

Heartbreaksoup I just went and read your blog entry. It felt like I was back at the restaurant. Good write up.
