I will be adding a new state tonight- other than revisions I believe this is the first time in nearly two years that I'll actually be adding a new state.

I was hoping for some feedback

If there are any regional specialities you think don't belong in a specific state or if there are any regional specialties I haven't added for a specific state, but should- then let me know! I may have a photo of it lying around somewhere...and if not me then someone else might have it ie buffetbuster

WJ, loving this thread but I'm gonna hafta go ahead and ask you to "change" the header for the Massachusetts intro, OK?  Greeeaaaatt!! - Bill Lumbergh, V.P. at Initech.

Seriously though this is really awesome and a great primer for anyone wanting to get a visual sense of the different specialties out there.  If you need any pics for New York foods, just give me a holler.

Billyboy,

I've got 4 states to add before I'll be approaching NY. I'm sure I'm going to need some help with some upstate items. I already have some of my bases covered with NYC, and I' sure our meet up next month will fill in some of the blanks...

Outstanding job on Minnesota wj!  It is obvious that this is one of your favorite states.  Still, I have to ask, where is the lutefisk?

Here's your lutefisk (although this is Wisconsin).

Nice photos!  I would eat that, although the fact the person dishing out the lutefisk is practically wearing a hazmat suit is a source of concern.

Add my name to the list of people who somehow missed this thread the first 12 times around. Fantastic! I've just had a vicarious food trip around the USA, including some that I've actually been to.

I've got a lot of pictures of the outsides of places I've been but until very recently did not usually take pictures of the actual food, so it was great to see pictures of memorable food I've had in the past. Highlight memory jog for me was the Stubby's Baked Potato, the Baked Potato against which my wife (then my girlfriend, now wife for 33 years) and I have measured every other baked potato we've had since 1980. No comparison. I've now saved the picture.

Thanks for all of this. More please!
