Dearfolk, That's way too bad... I hadn't managed to get there yet. Maybe I will make it when they move downtown. Thanks, Brad. Ruefully, Ort. Carlton in Nearby (71 Miles) 30601-Land.

We are too sad about this. I live just down the road and often stopped in to pick up something to take home. The Pig had the best pork I have had in GA. and great sides. I hope they do well downtown, especially since we have lost so many of our meat and threes (Elaine's, we miss you!). Those of us who work at Central State are looking forward to more variety in lunch choices on the south side.

Ally, Have you ever trekked down to Old Clinton BBQ below Gray off U. S. 129? -- Or is there a better, if unknown, place down by Stevens Pottery or Toomsboro or heading toward Sandersville on the OLD Georgia highway (like going to Deepstep)? Idle minds nearby are dying to know. Almost Hearing Flannery O'Connor's Peacocks From Here, Ort. Carlton in Athens.
