Pillsbury million dollar bakeoff

I just saw Ms Ginsburg who won a million dollars for her recipe on NBC's "Today" show. I am sure that there are mnay on this site who could enter.

Interesting. Never would have thought of that.

I live for the Pillsbury Bake-off Cookbook that comes out every year - or every other year - with the bake-off recipes in it. A lot of the dishes I get asked for over and over again come out of these books.

I don't think I'd ever have the guts to enter one of my own recipes though. But I admire those who do.

I used to love the Pillsbury bakeoff...............no longer. It is not the best recipe any longer; it is the best use of Pillsbury products.........yuck!

As I mentioned in the other thread with this subject, It sounds like something she made to get the kids to eat their greens....

I would bet somebody on Roadfood could win the money. As I understand it, the Lady from Austin area was not a professional. I think she was surprised she won. Good for her.

Paul, she would never lower herself to using all that processed crap!

Thanks for the compliments Sundancer and Greymo but professional chefs are not allowed to enter these cooking competitions..........otherwise I'd be retired on a Caribbean island by now!

Screw all you people. I've met Anna, and she's a wonderful person. She hasn't had professional training, but she could "out-cook" everyone except Lisa.

Congratulations to Anna from Austin! Her recipe is a little unusual but it must have been pretty darned good for her to win! The judges are pretty strict at these competitions. I was once a judge for a scholarship to Paris Cordon Bleu. We took points away because there were truss marks on the breast of the whole duck of one of the contestants. Talk about picky. But for a cool million......her dish must have been KILLER.
