The Pilot House on RT 154 in Haddam, CT will open for the season soon. I went by there on 4/29. They had a help wanted sign and an opening soon sign up. The stand looked freshly painted. For those who have never had a hot dog there, they are famous for their homemade relishes - a sweet relish and a hot pepper relish.

Do you know what brand of dog is used and how it's prepared?

If I get there, the Pilot House is a considerable distance from my home, I will ask and report back.

We use foot long Hummel dogs split and grilled with a toasted bun. We still have the famous homemade relish.

What are the hours and days of operations. I do not want to get my face fixed for your hot dog's only to find out that I missed it by an hour.
