Pitco Fryer/Lp Sys

Hi all, Well I am about to install a pitco fryer in my trailer from scratch from the tank to the fryer. Problem is or are, there are no propane installers here; I am literally out in the sticks Northern Canada. I'm pretty handy with tools, etc. However I'm asking for your help/advice, good or bad. I'm hoping there are a few knowledgeable folks that wouldn't mind chimeing in. Anyway, I intend to use two bottles at the tongue, with a run of only approx 5' to the fryer. What do I need, a regulator, hose or pipe? Do I connect the two tanks together? Any help would be much appreciated as I have to order everything in. (note that I have the hood/fan already) Thanks

Smoke, Is the fryer the only thing you are supplying with propane? I would run 3/4" black pipe under the trailer, penetrate the floor near your fryer, intstall a shut off valve, then run the flex pipe from there to the fryer. Use plenty of pipe dope. This is the only photo I have that shows how my set up is. Tanks are mounted on the tongue, you see the regulator, at the top is a brass "T" and a mixing valve to run r-l or both, then an individual line to each tank. I can get you some good photos on Monday if you like, and info on the regulator.

The Chef is correct and if you need more detail there is a recent thread on an installation process with several pics and a lot of contributors. Do a search for LP Gas, LP Gas Installation, or any variant along those lines. It'll pop up. Jack
