According to the article and others like it in the UK media, they are just going to rebrand 30 restaurants and only as an experiment until the end of the year. I note that Pizza Hut pulled a similar name change publicity stunt here in the USA on the last April Fool's day: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q_bvRs0C3rE Another of Yum's Brands companies, KFC, pulled a publicity stunt about transporting the secret recipe a few weeks ago. People on this board have proposed other names for the chain, including Pizza Slut and Pizza $hit. I remember eating in a Pizza Hut in the UK someplace in 1986. Back then, they would put the pepperoni under the cheese before baking the pie. In previous visits, I never liked how it came out. I was used to the pepperoni being placed on top of the cheese. So, we asked them to place the pepperoni on top of the cheese. The waitress had to call the manager. It was the old "The Dean and Chapter are not Responsible." I had to assure the manager the Pizza Huts in the NYC area all put the pepperoni on top of the pizza. He said he would do it, but was not responsible for the outcome. He was afraid something would burn. I told him I would pay for the pizza, regardless how it came out. After the pizza was made, I observed the manager watching the pizza the whole time it was in the oven. It came out about the same as in NYC metro area restaurants. I invited the manager to sit down for a slice with us. He remarked he liked it better the way we had ordered it!

Pizza Hut has a commercial here in the states about them now serving their pasta and the pizza hut logo spins to become "pasta hut", still the same pizza hut but just now selling pasta. They also have places called "Wing Street" to promote thier hot wings.

Now, if they would just change their recipes!!! They have those very annoying "hidden camera" (ugh) commercials here, that suggest the diners of an upscale restaurant were fed PH pastas, and were shocked to learn that it was PH. Silly. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vF4FtWghQAw

"Pizza Hut" "Pasta Hut" it all sounds like salt out the gills. They should change their name to "Sodium Hut". Andrea
