I usually buy the Cento San Marzanos, but my Italian market will have several other imported brands, too.

Cento is about as good as it gets....and the R.E.A.L. thing!!!!!
San Marzano are just the Best...and I am very "passionate about that"!!!

I take a big can of whole Roma tomatoes (usually San Marzano, but not always), a small can of tomato paste, some fresh garlic, onion powder, s&p, dried basil and oregano, a shake or two of red pepper flakes, and extra virgin olive oil, and mix it all together with my stick blender, usually right in the bowl I'm going to store it in. Someone mentioned using naan as the crust, I use that regularly also. Makes a great, crispy-chewy crust.
