it could happen, if somebody tries hard enough. the region has little to do with the quality of the finished product if it's done right.

I took a boat through the shipyard in Bremerton back in 79 and there were a couple of pretty good pizza places there. Also in Poulsbo, where if you didn't want pizza you could always get a lutefisk tv dinner.

Its also very disturbing that someone who lives on the west coast is up at 4:30am posting about pizza. I live on the east cost and I've only been up 40 minutes and I consider myself an early bird.

There's nothing more to post, I don't spend time arguing on the internet- I have a life-  I've heard from friends that pizza in Seattle still sucks just as much as it did 15 or 20 years ago....

I'm sure "trendy" California style pizza is a hit- it was back then and I'm sure it's still popular, however I was told you cannot find a good quality NYC "by the slice" pizza anywhere in the Seattle area......

Haha! I moved to north Carolina from north jersey 8 years ago and it's funny because if you would've said BBQ to me then, I would've been ready for a burger an some dogs on the grill! Now I sit here with a plethora of phenomenal BBQ joints around (the REAL stuff), and nare a half decent slice of pizza! Oh I'm getting hungry for some good Italian. and it's only breakfast!

I trust you're referring to some other Hoffman, as this Hoffman has never given the slightest bit of thought to apizza in Seattle. I love Seattle, but it would never occur to me, as a visitor, to order a pie there.

Michael,  I'll bet that if you,Lisa and I were walking Pike's, and some guy with a wood-fired brick oven told you his geoduck garlic white apizza was just ready, you'd spring for it.

Well, I might. But Lisa hates geoducks.

She's tiny. You and I can share her portion, and we'll distract her with a slice of berry pie.
