Good time for leaf peeping right now! We've enjoyed a couple of places up that way. In Lake Junaluksa (on US 19 near the Methodist Assembly) is Granny's Chicken Place. They serve melt-in-your-mouth chicken, but also other items family style. Go early!

In Maggie Valley itself, check out "Blast from the Past Cafe" on Soco Road (US 19). It's been a while since we stopped there, but we enjoyed it.

Finally, on your way into Maggie Valley from the Big Road, go through Waynesville and on the south end of town, on Main Street, is Clyde's Family Restaurant. It's a local hangout with a varied menu.
