Like almost everything else, for whatever reason, M&Ms are just not the same. I used to eat them by the handful - my affair with M&Ms is largely responsible for the shape I'm in today.

Still - the ultimate sweet/salty snack is a 50/50 mix of Planter's dry roasted peanuts and plain M&Ms. I tried adding cocktail peanuts to this mix once and it wasn't as good. Popcorn might be a better try...

Have you been approached by M&Ms to buy their corporate treats? They are selling packages of multi-colored M&Ms - your choice of two colors and you can get them personalized. They're selling them for - better steel up for this - $22.50/lb in 8 oz. "bulk" packages, or $30-$42.50/lb in cute little individually wrapped servings. They're figuring on selling millions of dollars worth of these to salesmen with fat advertising budgets.

This is interesting to me...I stopped buying plain M&Ms a couple years ago because they just didnt taste that good anymore. It never occured to me to check the ingredients...just thought my taste buds had changed.I still buy the peanut M&Ms and still think they taste as good as they always have.Learn something new every day from you guys!!!

My dad used to quip, "I'll trade my 110 in on 2 20's". My mom told him he;d find out quick he wasn't wired to handle it. (And people wonder why I'm strange!)

Let's just face the facts. Nothing is as good as it used to be.

Hey, hey now- after almost 15 years of marriage, my wife just gets better and better!

AS W.C.Fields once said, "I'd rather have two girls of 22 than one girl of 44," I'd still keep my wife, but the thought intrigues me.

The local Cracker Barrel is a good source for candy I haven't seen in years; Valomilk, Mallow Cups, Pecan GooGoo clusters, the big Tootsie Rolls, Horehound drops, lemon drops, etc. Their food pretty much stinks, though.

Yum yum the Mallow Cups. Re the m & ms, I always went for the peanut ones, and didn't care so much for the plain ones.

I thought i would mention i found some "Pre-2000" M&Ms last year (In Planters "Nut&Chocolate" Trail mix) (Regular milk and NO milkfat)

http://www.planters.com/trailmix/details.aspx?variety=1&cat=z

Hey some might call it a waste of $$ buying these @ 2.69 a bag as there isnt many ''m&ms'' in them, but when ya love something,YA JUST LOVE IT

I got 5 bags and can fill an 8oz cup with them (I buy them often!!)

I remember emailing planters and asking if they would ship me many of the "m&ms" (Or what they call them) but they wouldnt I really hope they will decide to start selling these "M&MS" seperatly (They told me they would if they were popular enough (Gotta get the word out i guess)) I told them what Mars did to thiers and how they now taste like crap...

I just found out that M&Ms that are shipped to CANADA are NOT MADE WITH SKIM MILK / MILKFAT!!

Im copying the post from another site im on.....
quote:
Here you go Dude: M&M’s Canadian Ingredients: Milk chocolate (sugar, cocoa mass, milk ingredients, cocoa butter, lactose, soy lecithin, salt, artificial flavours, sugar, corn syrup, gum acacia, colour, (contains tartrazine) dextrin, carnauba wax, may contain peanuts.
This really makes me FURIOUS!!

They are made by Mars but yet are made BETTER than the USA ones which now use skim milk (Thats what makes them taste like crap)

Im gonna try and get some of these canadian plain m&ms and see how they are.......

Rick, have you tried bacon flavored Spam? It's a big improvement over the current plain variety!
