Pop Rocks Chocolate Sun, 07/2/06 1:09 AM (permalink)
Our German "son" (former exchange student) sent us a box this past Christmas and among the goodies was a pack of chocolates with pop rocks. They were so good! It is made by the Ritter brand, and in a pack of assorted mini (bite size squares) chocolates geared for children. I told him later how good they were, but he didn't know what I was talking a bout. I guess his mom bought them and packed it. My kids loved them and shared them with friends. I should have saved the wrapper. Rats!

I found these, a chocolate bar w/ pop rocks in it. The company is in Texas. Here's the link: http://www.germandeli.com/miknqchbar80.html
It's actually made in Germany. Unfortunately, I couldn't find the pop rocks themselves. There is a phone number and an e-mail address on their website. Try contacting them- they might have the pop rocks, or, if not, they might be able to tell you where you can get them. If nothing else, at least you can get the chocolate bar with the pop rocks in them. Actually, they sound very interesting- I'd love to try one! I'm sure my grandkids would go nuts over them!

Good luck, and aufviederzen, and gutes gluck! (I have no idea if I spelled that correctly- after all, it's been nearly 30 years since my German classes!) Man- is that depressing!

Thanks! This is it--but made by a different company. I might just order me some. For my kids, that is (ahem).

Godiva actually made some brilliant truffles with Pop Rocks around Christmas, available in both white and dark chocolate. So yummy! I'm not sure if they stock them outside of Christmas -- I live in London and I saw them whilst visiting home. Good luck!
