Pork! It's whats for dinner!

Another successful grilling attempt! The Hormel rep had given me some huge thick cut chops, and having a rare Friday off, I decided to whip out the BBQ. Dinner tonight was: That lovely chop you see, sesame ginger rice pilaf, and broccoli spears.... Damn good, I might add!

No sauce.. It is totally nekkid. It is shiny just from its own juices.. I dipped the meat in Sweet Baby Rays BBQ sauce while eating it.. Nothing but salt and pepper while it cooked... I dont put sauce on anything I grill... until the last minute!(and only if ribs!-I like that crusty burnish taste on my ribs) It is for afterwards just to dip in... Ok.. here da doggie (Benjy-Doodlebug!) after having da bone! (well, the 2nd one)---- Well, I got him just after he picked his teeth with it.. Sorry, John!.. I tried, but he was super fast! Actually, he tried to bite me while trying to pose him! Doggone it!.....

Rick beat me to it! I'd like the recipe, too, please. My freezer is now full once again with hand-raised, FFA pork. Yum! Had to hire a student to raise me a pig this year, since our son graduated last June. Chops were the first thing we fixed! Looking forward to the bacon this weekend. Just finishing off the last ham this week from the last pig my son raised. So, it's pretty much pork for breakfast, lunch, AND dinner around here!!

Shoot shoot shoot. I swear, I posted the facts about this rice. I cheated.. I used a package mix from the grocery store shelves, but it is very good. All I did was add the peas and mushrooms. It is Near East Sesame Ginger Rice Mix. Here is a link from Amazon.. so you will know what it looks like in the store. If anyone cant get it from your store, write me and I will pop a box in the mail. http://www.amazon.com/Near-East-Sesame-Ginger-5-2-Ounce/dp/B000GZUA0O Near East makes many nice flavored rice mixes. http://www.neareast.com/home.html
